Daily Reflections@Kippax
4th – 10th April 2010
back to Justice and Poverty…
This week we
have finished our Healthy Households series, so we move back to our Justice and
Poverty Journal.
Sunday 4th April – Easter Sunday – Who is
Easter for? Just us and the people we love! Spend sometime thinking of people,
individuals or groups that you struggle to understand or even like. How does
your life reflect that Easter is for them too?
Monday 5th April – Today the Newpin
fundraising walkers arrive at the coast, do you see something of the message of
Easter in the way they have served and given of themselves (even till it
hurts!!!). Today write a letter of thanks and appreciation to them (hand it
into the front office and we will make sure it gets to the walkers).
Tuesday 6th April – Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday next week is the ‘Kippax Young Leaders Challenge’. Who do you know in
yrs 10+ you could encourage to ‘take-up the challenge’? Let us know asap.
Wednesday 7th
April –
take some time today, remember something from our Healthy Households series and
seek how you can apply it to this 24hrs and beyond.
Thursday 8th
April –
During the upcoming school holidays a variety of people will be leading worship
and preaching, today pray for them as they prepare, and take time to thank and
encourage them after the worship.
Friday 9th April – Tonight people from
across (including Kippax adults and youth reps) ACT & NSW start to gather
for a 3 day meeting of the NSW/ACT Synod of the Uniting Church – pray for them
and the meeting.

Saturday 10th
April – ACT
School holidays start now for the next 2 weeks, for those having a break: rest
well and enjoy your time. For those travelling be wise and please don’t drive
‘tired’.
